Directions to the Wise Sport and Fitness
Center at Allegheny College are:
Allegheny College is approximately 30
minutes from I-90 and I-80, a few miles off I-79 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Travel on
I-79 to Exit 147A. Merge onto Route 322 East. After you cross a bridge, 322 bears to the
left. Go straight (turn right) onto the Park Avenue Exit. Follow Park Avenue for seven
traffic lights to North Street and turn right. A Burger King is on this corner. Turn left
at the next traffic light, North Main Street. Travel through one traffic light and bear
right as the road Y's, going up the hill (continuing on North Main Street.) Pass through
most of the campus. Turn right onto John Street (this is a narrow street so watch for it).
John Street T's at Highland Ave. Cross Highland to enter the parking lot for the Wise
Sport and Fitness Center. Get information and a map of the campus. Parking
is free n campus on the weekends, so grab a spot in the lots above the Wise Center
or across the street. The entrance to the Wise Center is at the intersection of buildings
36 and 37, and the entrance to the parking lot is at the intersection of John St. and
Highland Ave.
Directions to Monroeville
Community Church
Monroeville Community Church is located at 2456 Tilbrook Road,
Monroeville, 15146. We suggest you check a site such as Mapquest to get driving directions
from your home. Drive around to the back of the church to enter the gym. For a map of the

Directions to St. Bede
School, Point Breeze
St. Bede school is located at 6920 Edgerton Avenue, Pittsburgh (Point
Breeze). You can generate driving

Directions to CMU
Carnegie-Mellon University Thistle Hall, inside of the main gymnasium on
Tech Street. From Forbes Ave., turn onto Margaret Morrison Street. Go several blocks down
street, then turn left onto Tech Street. The gymnasium is on your left. Thistle Hall can
be accessed from inside the main gym. CMU campus map can be found on the University's
website at: http://www.cmu.edu/home/visitors/map/
The gymnasium is building #10 on the campus map. Parking is nearby, indicated on the map
as parking area #12. There are also city parking meters on the street that only take
quarters.

Take the service road past McDonald's and the Sheets
Service Station, turn RIGHT onto Route-7 East / Route-19 South. Continue over a bridge, up
a hill, past a running track on the left to a traffic light in front of a large round
coliseum on the right. Turn left at the traffic light onto to Rt.705 (North/East).
Continue approximately 1/2 mile to second right turn (a large church will be on the left
directly in front of the turn). Stay on the service road up a hill, past a red brick
building (Erickson Alumni Center) on the right then turn LEFT into a large parking lot.
Continue through the parking lot, past a ticket station (take a ticket if directed to do
so - there is no fee) and park in the next parking lot (watch for one-way traffic signs).
The venue is on the LEFT - a large glass and red brick building. Enter from doors on
either end. Fencing is on the main floor in the gym (if you enter from the far side, go up
the steps/ramp to reach the gym). |
Directions to Three Rivers Fencing
Center
TRFC is located in the Factory
Building, near the corner of Penn and Braddock avenues in Point Breeze. (The Factory is
also home to Gatto Cycles, The Climbing Wall, Gymkhana Gymnastics, and the East End Food
Co-op.)
Directions to the Fencing Institute of
America
10 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh.
From all points east, south, west and
north: take Route 279, exit at Bellevue/West View, turn right at end of exit ramp and
follow to up hill, turn right on Highland Avenue (signs pointing to Route 19). Follow
Highland to Route 19 (Perry Highway) turn right, go to bottom of hill (near DiPietro's
Restaurant) and turn left onto Center Avenue. FIA is located just a short distance on the
right on the top floor of the West View Fire Department's Banquet Hall, next to the
bicycle shop and the VFW. Parking is along Center Avenue. Entry is from Center Avenue.
